Now is a great time to give your bike(s) the ole SPRING ONCEOVER!
It doesn’t matter if your ride has been sitting all winter or if you
have been riding it since last year’s riding season, this is a great
time to get out the tools and gauges. Things to check should
include:
Tire condition Tire air pressure Engine oil level and
dirtiness Transmission oil level and dirtiness Air cleaner
dirtiness Brake fluid levels Chain/belt tension Water/antifreeze
level Brake lever and pedal operation Clutch operation Operation of all
lights Battery water level
Then, thanks to Noel, it will be time to
ride!

The Black Hills Area Bikers Southern Hills Poker Run
will be held on Saturday, June 5th. Registration begins at Black Hills
PowerSports in Rapid City at 9:00 am. The last card will be drawn at Rice Honda
in Rapid City at 5:00 pm. The suggested route will take you through Keystone,
Iron Mt. Road, Custer State Park, Pringle, Custer, Hill City, Three Forks Corner
and will bring you back into Rapid City via Sheridan Lake Road. It will be an
enjoyable ride with great scenery. You are not required to ride the route to
participate in the drawing of the cards. You may register at any stop and you
may draw any or all cards at Rice Honda from 3:00pm to 5:00pm. SD
Retreads has been assigned the stop at Elk Haven Store (located along Iron Mt.
Road) from 10:30 am to 12:30 pm. This is where you may draw card #3. Thank you
to Jerry and Bev Austin for their assistance in attending this stop. Lunch will
be available at the Wrangler Café in Custer from 12:30pm to 2:30 pm. This is
also where you may draw card #5. Proceeds from this fund-raiser will be
used to purchase Christmas gifts for the Forgotten At Christmas event in
December. Please plan to attend this opportunity for fun and fellowship.
