BlackHills Area Bikers Report
Thank you for supporting the "Shopping for the Forgotten" program again this year by approving the $150 donation from SD Retreads. We purchased and distributed Christmas gifts for about 141 residents in 14 area assisted living centers.
We shopped at K-Mart on Monday, December 8th. Thank you to Kris Hovland for assisting with this event. Event though it was cold and blustery outside, we enjoyed fun and fellowship with other bikers from the various motorcycle groups from around the Black Hills.
Thank you to Denny Tellinghuisen for helping wrap the gifts at Black Hills Harley Davidson on Tuesday, December 9th. Again, we had an enjoyable evening participating in wrapping, labeling and distributing the gifts. Thank you to Al and Lois Vogele for coordinating the Shopping for the Forgotten activities. At this event Al, who is president of Black Hills Area Bikers, made an announcement recognizing the efforts of Fugro-Horizons of Rapid City for their donation of $500.
Fugro-Horizons held a pot-luck luncheon at their office in November to raise money for this event. Many thanks to all of the Fugro-Horizons employees who contributed food and other items and thank you to everyone who participated and donated money for this meal.
Special thanks to Fugro-Horizons for matching the funds that were raised during this event for this worthy cause.
